Less than a month after what came to be known as the Battle of the Kridalian Republic due its extent and the threat it posed to the integrity of the nation as a whole, Gurney and Heni were given orders to rotate out of system. To the best of their ability, Merian intelligence assessed that the Raathi Front had been so degraded as not to pose a major threat for at least a generation. Hence, Merian forces would draw down, leaving only a small force in the Republic to support their allies. The Kridalian Republic had been so damaged by the terror war that it would not be returning to the fight against the Xing Coalition. But the Federation would be concentrating its forces once more on the front lines.
