A Theme:
Some readers may have noticed a theme running throughout my essays and short stories this month. Perhaps it is more of a “late in the year” theme than a “Thanksgiving” theme, but in many ways they are the same. There is more of an acceptance of the tragic side of life, and less of a holiday cheer, to these posts, but perhaps that is appropriate. There is an acceptance that much of what happens is beyond our control.
